Consistent performance, easy rebalancing

I set up another ETF-Portfolio with Ginmon last month, adding to my existing investments. As always, the process was straightforward, and the rebalancing on my older portfolio happened seamlessly. It's why I keep coming back.

Excellent service, quick setup

Decided to finally move my retirement savings. Went with their Altersvorsorge option. Got my online forms done in about 20 minutes. Had a couple of questions about the tax-optimized investing, used their chat support, and got a clear answer right away. Funding was fast, and the portfolio started right up. Such an easy way to manage wealth, really happy with it!

Sparplan setup good, minor delay

I recently opened a Kinderdepot and started a Sparplan for my daughter. Setting it up online was pretty simple, clear steps. Documentation took about a week to finalize, which was a bit longer than I expected, but everything went through fine. The ESG-Portfolios option was a big plus for us. Funds started investing a few days after approval.

hey, was thinking about trying Ginmon, but how does their tax stuff work for US investors? I'm in New York, so just wondering if it's all handled automatically or if I gotta do a bunch of extra paperwork.

Oh, for US? I think Ginmon is mostly focused on the German tax system. You'd probably have to deal with your US taxes separately. They might even not take US clients, worth checking their terms for sure.

Yeah, I use them here in Germany and they handle everything perfectly for German taxes. But for New York, you'd definitely need to figure out your own reporting. I doubt they have any specific US tax integration.

Is Ginmon legit? Like, I've heard good things about robo-advisors but always a bit wary. How's the security for my money?

B Beth E. 3 months ago
Yeah it's legit. They use a partner bank for your actual depot so your money isn't just sitting with Ginmon directly. It's protected up to a certain amount, like other banks.

I've been with them for a couple years. I think the money is held in a separate account from Ginmon's own funds. Plus, they're regulated in Germany, which usually means good oversight. Feel pretty safe.
